Customer Services Associate Job at Axis Global Logistics
Axis Global Logistics, a leading third party logistics company seeks a Customer Services Associate.
The Customer Services Associate is the first line of communication with customers. Under minimal guidance, s/he effectively routes customer’s shipments, proactively communicates updates and handles all requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Professionally and promptly handle incoming requests from customers and communicate effectively to relay the information requested, access customer’s needs and document interactions accordingly
2. Thoroughly and effectively gather customer information when inputting orders; and document any pertinent information in the notes on the entered shipment
3. Effectively identify customer’s needs and select the appropriate service level to satisfy customer’s requests
4. Route packages for shipments based on customer’s needs and expectations
5. Pre-alert service partners of special service requests;
6. Track and monitor all scheduled shipments, Advise customers of delays on their shipment; including flight delays, flight cancellations, missed connections, etc.;
7. Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience;
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
Candidate should an overall understanding of the logistics industry and two or more years in an operations role that includes routing international shipments.
Competencies:
1. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
2. Strong organizational and problem solving skills;
3. Microsoft office – Intermediate level.
