Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license. Must be insurable under the District’s vehicle liability issuance policy. Must be able to collect cash, account receivables and balance cash draw at the end of day. Must be able to work with people of all personalities. Must be able to handle multiple duties at one time. Must have working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Must be able to perform 10 key by touch. Must be able to use a personal computer, facsimile machine, adding machine and other office related machines. Must be able to answer all incoming calls, handle customer complaints, answer questions and/or redirect callers to the proper department/individual. Take installation, maintenance, and repair request by phone or in person and gather necessary information and prepares work orders. Must be able to create computerized work orders as requested and input completed work orders into data base. Must be able to receive, issue receipts, and account for utility payment from walk-ins. Must be able to assist customers in making application for new service and/or closing out existing service for final bill. Must be able to file all paperwork for customer’s records. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. unattended. Must be able to kneel, stoop and bend. Must be able to stay in a seated position for extended length of time.
Temporary Employees will work a limited duration of one year or less with a specific end date. The end date for this temporary position will be September 1, 2023.
