Description:

This position plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service to all our current and potential customers. We are looking for an energetic, results-orientated person with great communication skills. This position will assist customers on the telephone and email to set estimate appointments, communicate project timelines, collect payment and follow up on overall service. Also, this position will work closely with the sales manager to grow sales and retain customers, using email marketing and social media.

This is a salary position, working Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. This is a hybrid role, with some days working in the Bloomington office and some days working from home. This is a seasonal company, so the workload will be heavier in the summer and lighter in the winter. There will be flexibility on hours worked, depending on the current workload.

  • Forming and pouring garage floors, driveways, patios, sidewalks and steps
  • Regrading yards due to prevent water issues
  • Interior and exterior drain tiles
Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the face of Gardner Construction by effectively communicating with customers, vendors, and other employee owners
  • Update and maintain CRM, and customer database
  • General data entry as needed
  • Assist Sales department in general Business Development responsibilities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve customer issues
  • Become a product expert to better serve customer needs and develop real-time solutions
  • Assist with Gardner Construction’s social media channels by responding to customer inquiries and posting content
  • Coordinate submittals for project permits as needed.
  • Assist Estimator/Sales in following up with pending estimates and scheduling secured jobs
  • Assist with operational responsibilities as needed.
  • Duties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be added, at anytime with or without advanced notice.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A desire to solve problems and provide a great experience for our customers
  • Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities as business needs dictate
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and work with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Technically savvy, CRM implementation would be a plus
  • Construction experience, concrete experience or experience with Angi is a plus
