Job Summary
Marathon Energy is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative in its Syracuse office. Candidate must possess excellent customer service, communication, listening, time-management skills, and be a team player. Responsibilities will include handling incoming calls and making outbound calls to acquire, retain, and upsell customers and prospects. Additionally, candidate must know how to use Microsoft Office. Hours will include a rotating schedule including weekends as needed during peak season. Multi-tasking is a must! Overview
Responsibilities:
Field incoming calls/customer inquiries from current customers and prospects
Recording the call and distribute to the Managing Agent while assisting in resolving the ticket within outlined timeframes
Perform customer service responsibilities to maintain superior level of customer satisfaction
Make outbound calls to targeted groups to acquire new customers and retain existing ones
Achieve company goals for sales and retention
We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree
1-3 years’ work experience required
1-3 years’ experience with a retail energy company preferred
Superior communication skills: must be a good listener who can quickly establish rapport; must speak clearly and persuasively, convey empathy; be knowledgeable and provide a warm personality over the phone
Enjoy working with customers, and responding promptly to their needs; desire to become a partner in resolving customer problems
Inside Sales skills including a proven sales track record; strong sales and negotiation skills needed; ability to track and close new leads and new accounts
Able to adapt to frequent changes, delays, demands or unexpected events while yielding an effective outcome; ability to adapt to changes in the work environment – must be flexible and able to multi-task
Take independent actions to achieve goals and complete tasks; find newer/better ways of doing things
Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and organized
Possess a positive, can-do attitude; MUST be team player
Eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
Must be able to work in person at our Syracuse Office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
