PetMeds seeks passionate, energetic, customer service-oriented professionals to provide outstanding service to all of our Pet Parents by placing orders and responding to inquiries about shipments, products and service via phone, email and web chat. The first two weeks in this job will be dedicated to training and will be on-site training at our office in Delray Beach, FL. Upon successful completion of the training and the trainer releases you from traning , the ability to work remotely will be based upon achieving the required performance criteria, and you may still be asked to report to the office for meetings, additional training, etc. You can learn more about our this position, the training process and our company culture at https://www.themuse.com/companies/1800petmeds.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The schedules we are recruiting for our training class to begin on December 5, 2022 are as follows. The ability to work evenings, holidays and at least one day on the weekend for at least the first year of employment is absolutely essential. Shift differential is paid for any hours worked between 6:00pm and 12:00am. Training is paid and the hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday to Friday. MUST BE A FLORIDA RESIDENT. For training and on site work equipment is provided and will be provided for you once your graduate from training

Shifts currently available shifts are assigned on a first come first served basis. Only one representative per shift available. 8 positions are currently available

M/T/Th 3pm - 11pm F 1pm - 9pm Sat 9am – 5pm

M/T/Th 3pm - 11pm F 1pm - 9pm Sun 9am – 5pm

M/W/Th 3pm - 11pm F 1pm - 9pm Sat 930am – 530pm

W-F 1pm - 9pm Sat 9am -5pm Sun 9am – 5pm

M-Th 3pm – 11pm Sun 9am – 5pm

M-Th 3pm – 11pm Sat 930am – 530pm

M-Th 3pm – 11pm Sun 9am – 5pm

T-F 1pm – 9pm Sat 10am – 6pm

Must be able to work three weeks of training 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday

Qualifications and Skills

Experience:

At least 1-year's previous experience in a customer service setting. Call Center experience preferred. Although being a Pet Parent is not a job requirement, you must absolutely LOVE pets!

Education & Training:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable (but not required)

Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills (genuinely friendly, courteous and helpful)
  • Proficient in the use of PCs with good keyboarding skills and able to type at least 35 wpm
  • Superior communication skills (both written and verbal), with good grammar, voice and diction
  • Basic math skills and ability to calculate figures and percentages
  • Ability to read and interpret documents (such as operating manuals, instructions, and policies and procedures)

Personal Attributes:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Training is on site for 2 weeks with the ability to work in office or remote after training.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule throughout the year with optional overtime available
  • Upbeat personality with a genuinely friendly and helpful attitude
  • Must have a love for pets and a desire to learn everything about them
  • Patient and respectful team player who is willing to do what it takes to support the team
  • Ability to work in an office environment, sitting for long periods
  • Prefer working in a fun, casual, upbeat environment with lots of autonomy
