Custom Wheelchair Technician- Inland Empire Job at SG Homecare
Position Overview:
The Custom Wheelchair/Rehab Technician evaluates patient’s clinical need for custom/motorized wheelchairs and other power operated vehicles as well as the repair of this equipment.

Essential Job Functions: *
- Complies with all applicable company policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of:
- Current Custom/Motorized Wheelchairs and Power Operated Vehicles and the repair of these devices.
- Other Rehabilitation equipment (Standing Frames, Walkers etc.)
- Educate customers in proper use and care of Custom/Motorized Wheelchairs and Power Operated Vehicles.
- Completes written patient visit reports and evaluations.
- Completes and documents repairs on equipment.
- Works closely with Customer Service Department to ensure service provided are within guidelines and reimbursable when appropriate
- Processes all orders in a timely, accurate manner.
- Works closely with Equipment Vendors to ensure prompt delivery of needed equipment and assists in negotiating quotes for said equipment.
- Assists with implementation of quality improvement to meet company, state, federal and accreditation standards.
- Reports equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess a valid State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively through electronic devices
- Ability to learn in-house operational systems
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Mechanical and situational problem solving abilities
- Ability to utilize basic electronic devices
- Organizational skills
- High School diploma/GED required
