A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for highly motivated EXPERIENCED CRANE OPERATOR- with Larger GC to join our team in Denver, CO. The Crane Operator primary function is to operate a GC Crane at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures at our ; crane operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:*

• Operates a Crane to complete tasks such as driving pylons, setting beams, directing, and assisting with rigging.
• Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials
• May oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments on equipment; perform daily safety and maintenance checks; complete paperwork and other documentation as needed.
• Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools.
• Loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Removing debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites.
• Following all health and safety regulations.
• May perform other related duties as required

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of construction principles and methods.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of crane operating experience, preferably with roadways or bridges.
• NCCCO or NCCER Certification is required.
• Pile Driving experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
