Under direction provides juveniles and their families with
counseling, guidance, or referral assistance to stabilize the
immediate juvenile-family crisis and to ameliorate interfamilial
crisis-provoking conditions and divert the juvenile-family crisis
from court proceedings; does other related work.

Under direction, has charge of and is responsible for the development,
implementation, and coordination of programs in the areas of
employment, education, and recreation designed to serve the interests and
needs of the youth of the jurisdiction; does other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

Graduation from an accredited college or university with
a Bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences.

EXPERIENCE

Two (2) years of experience providing guidance and
counseling to youth and their families.

NOTE: A Master's Degree in one of the behavioral
sciences may be substituted for the educational requirement.

NOTE: A Master's degree in one of the behavioral
sciences may be substituted for one (1) year of experience
when not utilized to fulfill the educational requirement.
