The Youth Biodiversity Collective is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Corporate Fundraising Advisory Board Member. In this role, you will play a vital part in guiding our organization's efforts to secure resources from corporate entities and large philanthropic foundations. Your expertise in corporate fundraising will contribute to the development and execution of fundraising strategies that align with our mission of empowering youth and conserving biodiversity.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Guidance: Provide valuable input and advice to our leadership team, focusing on corporate fundraising initiatives. Help shape our long-term strategic plans and fundraising goals to ensure their alignment with our mission and values.
• Corporate Fundraising: Take the lead in identifying and securing resources from corporate entities and large philanthropic foundations. Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies, including prospect research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and partners.
• Partnership Development: Build strong relationships with corporate partners and foundations, acting as a liaison between the Youth Biodiversity Collective and potential funders. Explore collaborative opportunities that align with our mission and strategic priorities.
• Fundraising Planning and Execution: Collaborate with our fundraising team to create compelling proposals, grant applications, and sponsorship packages tailored to corporate and foundation donors.
• Networking and Relationship Building: Utilize your network to engage with corporate leaders, foundation program officers, and stakeholders, expanding our fundraising reach. Attend relevant events to establish new connections and explore opportunities.
• Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Foster strong relationships with corporate and foundation donors, ensuring their continued support through effective stewardship, timely reporting, and recognition of their contributions.
• Board Meetings: Attend quarterly Advisory Board meetings, actively participating in discussions and decision-making processes related to corporate fundraising strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Corporate Fundraising Expertise: Demonstrate experience and a successful track record in corporate fundraising for nonprofit organizations, preferably in the environmental field.
• Fundraising Strategy and Execution: Possess knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices. Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, including prospect research, cultivation, and grant writing.
• Board Experience: Previous involvement in nonprofit boards or advisory boards, particularly in fundraising or development roles, is desirable.
• Passion for the Mission: Exhibit a genuine passion for biodiversity conservation and environmental education. Share our commitment to empowering youth and protecting biodiversity.
