Dodson Bros. Exterminating Company, Inc., one of the largest family-owned pest control companies in the United States, is seeking applicants for the position of Corporate Accounting Assistant to join our team in our corporate office in Lynchburg, VA. Our growing team of over 600 employees continues the tradition of excellence established in 1944 and proudly serves customers in seven states and the District of Columbia.
A strong work ethic and commitment to customer service are required. Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable are a plus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Reconciliation of company bank accounts
Manage uniform orders and returns, uniform invoices and payments, and product inventory
Complete credit applications for new vendors
Review, approve, and process expense reports
Verify and correct customer payment data and reconcile district deposits to bank and online credit card payments
Process accounts payable for corporate vendors
Manage data entry for various employee incentive programs
Make journal entries
Prepare 1099’s
Qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED required, college accounting/business preferred- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work with team members at all levels of the organization
- Ability to maintain confidentialty
