Summary:

Walker Windows is looking to fill a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator position.

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Shipping and Receiving Manager, this position assists the Shipping & Receiving Team in effectively performing all shipping and receiving tasks necessary to ensure all Walker Windows and Discount Window and Doors orders are successfully fulfilled.

Responsibilities:

• Communicates directly with manufacturers, and team members to ensure all material orders are fulfilled and received at their final location accurately and timely; follows up on all issues and helps to find a solution
• Assists with detailed ordering, scheduling, and confirmation of all materials needed to fulfill contractual and project obligations and associated documentation
• Accountable for project KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) to drive safety, quality, and productivity while adhering to project budgets, deadlines, and company policies
• Identifies issues and/or errors and reports them promptly and assists with swift resolution
• Adheres to deadlines and monitors progress of concurrent projects while assisting in the preparation of project status reports for management
• Assists in the review and coordination of scheduling of equipment, labor, and other necessary resources; communicates schedules and scheduling revisions with all affected parties

Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience with Microsoft Excel
• Minimum 1 year experience coordinating or project management
• Detailed and process-oriented; learn to understand highly technical general construction practices and building codes affecting window and door industry
• Patient and positive attitude with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Consistently demonstrates integrity, teamwork, and an ever-forward attitude
