Maintenance Coordinator / Inventory Specialist
Full-time position - M - F

Job Description:

The Maintenance Coordinator / Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing all maintenance CMMS related data for the department. Ensures Maintenance plans are created, PMs created and modifies as necessary the Manager plus system. In Inventory, ensures adequate stocking levels of parts needed to reduce downtime of the plant equipment. Responsible for overseeing all inventory related data for the department. Reports to Maintenance Manager.

Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Inventory

  • To order, receive and maintain the spare parts inventory for the department
  • Maintain documentation of all purchase orders
  • Configure Manager Plus to maintain all KPI’s for inventory in house.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers via phone or email
  • Create purchase orders for parts and supplies needed for the maintenance department
  • Receive ordered parts and confirm shipment quantities using packing slips
  • Manage inventory shelving to keep parts organized and easy to locate
  • Work with the maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisors to stage parts for created workorders
  • Organize return shipments to vendors and shipments between both sites
  • Oversee costs of parts and supplies ensuring to stay within the given budget
  • Run inventory usage reports for the accounting department
  • Work independently and with other team members to have parts for repairs prompt and safely
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Report any issues or problems to Maintenance Manager

Coordinator

  • Delegating maintenance PMs and Work orders to Supervisors/Leads for scheduling.
  • Developing maintenance plans and implementing them for each equipment type.
  • Ensuring quality control standards are consistently met, work with Quality making sure all items in Manager Plus meet any standards required for audits and policies.
  • Report all necessary KPI’s weekly to Maintenance Manager.
  • Updating maintenance logs for all machinery.
  • Establishing schedules for non-mechanical maintenance, ensure all PMs are scheduled for non-production equipment
  • Ensures tools and Maint shop chemicals are in proper order by performing regular inspections.
  • Assessing procedures and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Reports directly to Maintenance Manager daily for all activities.
  • Coordinate with Maint Manager all maintenance work to properly maintain Bakerly facilities and grounds.
  • Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities, and process work assignments.
  • Establishes and maintains a reliable network of outside vendors and suppliers to ensure cost effective and timely support of the maintenance function.
  • Schedules outside contractors or subcontractors to perform maintenance work.
  • Ensures all yearly inspections records are maintained and schedules inspections accordingly
  • Plans, organizes the day-to-day operations for all Manager Plus activities
  • Ensures that all company policies and procedures are followed related to the performance of the maintenance function.
  • Establishes and communicates the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance work orders and PMs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Electrical and Mechanical technology or Industrial Automation experience a must.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
  • Education and/or experience with PLCs, industrial electricity, automation control and mechanical repairs
  • Familiarity with plant specific automation products i.e., SewEuro, Siemens PLCs & VFDs
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial/mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing of packaged goods environment preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) to look up part location/availability on computer using maintenance software
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD / Solidworks would be a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with managers, technicians, contractors, and be able to explain electrical/mechanical processes and theory
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Good problem-solving abilities and result-oriented
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, heights, in and around machinery and chemicals
