We are Para la Naturaleza, a nonprofit environmental organization based in Puerto Rico, and we are looking for a candidate to join our team! Our
Regional Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, planning and supervising all maintenance and conservation jobs of the Eastern Region.
This position requires willingness to travel, work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Must be available to drive vehicles. Seeking candidates to work in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. This is a full-time regular job opportunity based in Las Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve at Fajardo, PR. REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university in Civil or Agricultural Engineering and Biosystems
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a similar position and the following areas: construction and restoration projects, landscaping, tree nursery, security and OSHA regulations, blueprints, electricity, plumbing, carpentry
- 2 - 4 years of experience in direct supervision of employees and consultants
- Project management
- Historical structures and machinery maintenance
- Must have availability to drive and operate (all types of vehicles, including heavy equipment) and work in the field (including open areas, mountains, natural reserves, among others).
- Proficiency in word processing, worksheets and presentation programs, such as MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) and knowledge in operating systems like Windows & MAC.
- Fully bilingual, excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
