2022 marks the 36th anniversary of Pride Institute! For 36 years, we have been providing our Pride clients with an inclusive and accepting place for recovery through evidence-based treatment for substance abuse, sexual health and mental health. We offer our clients residential and outpatient levels of care to provide the help and tools needed for addiction and mental health recovery and to support their personal growth, resiliency and overall wellness during their recovery program with us.

We are currently looking for an approachable, flexible, creative and client-centered Cook for our residential program in Eden Prairie. Our Cooks are responsible for the preparation and service of delicious and nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for our clients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. They comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food services offered. They follow menus and recipes provided by the Dietary Supervisor, while adding their own personal flair to each meal. They follow the posted cleaning schedule and ensure a clean work area and dining room at all times.

For this full-time, 32-40 hour per week position, Pride offers a generous time off policy, health, dental, vision, life and other supplemental policies, as well as a 401k plan with match and a stock purchase program from our parent company Universal Health Services (UHS – see below).

Education/Experience: Prefer at least two (2) years' experience in quantity cooking; a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.

High school diploma or GED required; Graduate from a formal school specializing in institutional cooking highly desirable.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision and may be required to work variable shifts, overtime and flexible hours as part of our Culinary Team.

Must be able to pass/clear the MN DHS Background Study, must pass a UA drug test, and must be free of problematic substance use for at least one year immediately preceding hiring. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All Pride Staff are currently required to wear masks in our facilities.
