The individual will be responsible for assisting the plant with financial decisions, budgeting and forecasting, business processes, and other various duties. They will accomplish this by building relationships and growing in their understanding of the plant and business to become a true business partner to assist in current operations and future growth. This position will work closely with various departments at the corporate office and at their plant to ensure they get to know their facility and the business. A successful individual will grow in their influence with the facility and will be able to assist in several areas within the plant outside of just the plant controller function.
Responsibilities:

• Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs, collecting operational daDevelop relationships with individuals both within the plant and in various corporate functional areas
• Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explain processes and techniques; recommending actions
• Will make recommendations on plant processes and will continue to look for areas of improvement within the plant
• Confirm costs by collecting, interpreting, and reporting data
• Contribute to cost savings and Lean Six Sigma belt projects and calculate and track year-over-year cost savings
• Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions

Qualifications:Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field

Experience:

• Minimum five (5) years’ of accounting experience, preferably in a plant/manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of an ERP system such as SAP is preferred
• Ability to analyze manufacturing statements by researching large or unusual variances to determine cause
• Ability to prepare budgets and forecasts
• Ability to oversee business processes and controls such as receiving and purchasing, preferably in a plant/industrial manufacturing setting
• Requisite analytical skills to identify potential risks and take action to avoid
• Inquisitive nature to creatively solve problems
• Ability to prepare charts for financially efficient plant operations
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities under limited supervision
• Detail-oriented; ability and desire to work in a hands-on, industrial manufacturing and office environment
• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
• Ability to travel approximately 5% of the time
• Time management and organizational skills
• Active listening and communication skills (verbal and written); positive and professional in all communication
