Overview of the Controller role:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting activities; supervise two direct reports in AP/AR
- Coordinate and complete month-end close, including financial reporting
- Support strategic financial planning, budget and forecasting processes
- Perform cost analysis of manufacturing operations, equipment availability, and utilization; inventory control
- Assist with year-end audit and tax processes
- Maintain fixed asset reporting
Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum three years of experience in public or manufacturing accounting
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Visual and Power BI and/or other major ERPs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to manage teams
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and industry standards
