Position Description
We are looking for an Marketing Manager in our US locations or remotely, but US based.
This is a part time position, 20 hours per week.
The US Leukemia Regional Marketing Manager Companion Diagnostics is responsible for managing and driving:
- Market assessment of the US leukemia molecular testing market
- Lab-by-lab assessment for potential and willingness to implement a new molecular leukemia test
- Developing of a go-to-market strategy and a launch plan for a new companion diagnostics test, including: messaging for QIAGEN’s Genomics marketing programs on a US scale and requires a good understanding of the genomics market considering also up – and downstream applications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance for our strategic marketing and campaign management team by determining the genomics franchise marketing messages and execution in the US market. The role will also include working cross functionally with different internal stakeholders to ensure that strategies are aligned across groups and executed in-step with other programs.
In this role you are responsible to plan and drive strategic marketing and campaign management for QIAGENs genomics franchises to achieve our revenue targets. These franchises are broadly defined as PCR and NGS applications for precision medicine.
- Lead and build a best-in-class marketing team and processes
- Build strong alignment and effective communication channels to critical function like R&;D, product management, regional marketing, the pharma partner, and other portfolio teams
- Work with all relevant molecular labs incl. national commercial labs, University labs, cancer centers, and Integrated Delivery/Health Networks to get their buy-in for implementation of the new companion diagnostics test (significant travel necessary for this part of the work)
- Build and execute KPI´s, metrics and processes aligned to delivering goals and leading teams to successful outcomes
- Develop and disseminate market and technology knowledge for focus diagnostic areas and applications
- Monitor trends and identify market opportunities through developing cross-functional business reviews in close collaboration with R&D and product management.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of direct work experience with demonstrated Leukemia expertise in a marketing capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences. Preferred formal study in biotechnology, molecular genetics, or bioinformatics
- Expertise in market research, digital marketing, and e-commerce is highly desirable

- Ability to present high-level information for multiple audiences based on analysis and facts.
- High level of organizational skills
- Ability to work both, independently and in a structured working environment
