Job Summary:
The Contract Manager – Contracting & Regulatory Management will lead and supervise a team of high-functioning contracting professionals, who perform the drafting and management of, largely, revenue-generating agreements and amendments for assigned areas. . The role is also responsible for drafting contracts requiring a higher degree of independence and skill, for the daily management of the agreement and amendment process for assigned requests, and serves as a point of escalation for issues related to their team. The Contract Manager will coach and develop team members and ensure the team effectively collaborates with cross-functional partners, provides the highest level of customer service to internal/external clients, and meets contracting deadlines and SLAs. Additional responsibilities include leadership of and participation in special projects that improve the quality, people, processes, and technology supporting the contracting department.
Responsibilities include:
Manage and/or support the agreement and amendment request and preparation processes, as assigned.
Facilitate and/or support negotiations, legal review and signature processes.
Coordinate appropriate business and legal review/response of negotiated documents.
Assist with communication of contract processes and procedures.
Generally support quality improvement efforts and measures.
Lead, coach, mentor and support the development of contract professionals in alignment with the Cigna Values.
Complete other miscellaneous projects and requests, as assigned
This position will support the contract strategy and process for various areas such as PBM Client, Supply Chain, Network, and Specialty.
Ideal candidates will offer:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
8-12 years relevant experience to include a minimum of 5 years healthcare/PBM experience, at least 3 years of management experience, or Master’s degree with 6 – 10 years of experience
Must have drafting experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, including ability to manage timelines and balance multiple deadlines.
Strong focus on customer service.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, quickly grasp new concepts, solve problems and make decisions.
Ability to work cross-functionally to mediate and resolve complex contract issues and negotiate solutions. Ability to work with internal and external partners at all levels of management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with Lotus Notes, Apttus, and SharePoint preferred.
This is a flex/ WAH role.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 96,500 - 160,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
