Job Summary
The Digital Content Manager creates and implements marketing’s digital content management standards, tracks all content from conception to deployment (e.g. naming conventions, metadata templates, website content tracking, content lifespans, media buys, etc.) and ensures those standards are being met for marketing contents. This role partners with the Multimedia Team managers and Design Team managers as well as associate digital content managers and the business on daily operations, while collaborating on strategic items with senior marketing digital content managers.
Responsibilities
Organize, upload, catalog and classify existing and new digital content materials (e.g. photographs, videos, 3D, motion graphics, copy, documents, etc.) for internal and external use
Execute on the digital content management standards by partnering with business users to understand the applicable workflows
Support, communicate, and reinforce metadata standards and best practices to the marketing team
Work closely with all internal teams to ensure success with digital content management and content access configuration
Manage content across multiple channels (e.g. websites, social media, documents, applications, and more)
Support marketing in accurately archiving digital and physical content as determined by the business rules
Track and deliver content deliverables to internal and external clients
Train Marketing and/or team members about digital content management and how to use it, and act as a subject matter expert
Collaborate on solutions that are flexible for marketing to improve process efficiency and effectiveness
Ensure alignment with the company’s digital content management team on policy documentation for content retention policy, metadata taxonomy, controlled vocabulary definitions or other documents; outline all related expectations and content lifecycle management guidelines
Train team members about digital content management and how to use it, and act as an ongoing resource
Requirements
Approximately 3 years of experience in digital content management
Bachelor’s degree in information science, data management, digital library science or a related field or equivalent experience
Approximately 4 years of experience in digital content management
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
Working knowledge of information architecture
Awareness of content management tools and methods available
Project management experience a plus
Understanding of policy documentation expectations and guidelines
