Conference Manager Job at Canyon Ranch

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day to day operation of the Conference Services department, including but not limited to management and coordination for all catering, conferences, events and audio visual on property. Maintains a close relationship with sales to ensure maximum profit and yield. Works closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management, to monitor group pick-ups and contractual attrition clauses and hotel room blocks. Establishes rapport and maintain contact with clients to encourage repeat business. Ensures that the department operational budget is strictly adhered to and that all costs are controlled. Responsible for creating banquet event orders and resumes for social and corporate groups. Works with all Department heads for group and event details. Maintains consistent and effective flow of communication between fellow managers and colleagues. This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Qualifications:
Minimum of an associate degree to two-year equivalent specialized training or experience required. Must have knowledge of position/industry (3-5 years previous experience in same or related field). Required to have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
