JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the departmental computer system, departmental internet website design and maintenance, project maintenance, and the internal imaging of court documents software application for Pulaski County District Court.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Analyzes system performance and capabilities; ensures software interaction and maintenance of all needed reporting requirements.
Maintains system security by assigning all user accounts and security access; submits information to Information Systems.
Provide support and training to staff in internal imaging of all court documents.
Assist Accounting Supervisor in the annual audit.
Serves as liaison between the court and the Administrative Office of the Courts regarding all software issues.
Develops and maintains business continuity plan for District Court required by Arkansas Legislative Audit; maintains contact with auditors during audit periods, provides timely responses to legislative concerns regarding IT issues.
Provides training to all District Courts staff in daily software management to maintain accuracy in court proceedings and records.
Serves as liaison between the District Court Office and the Pulaski County Information Systems department to ensure all hardware requirements are being met to maintain accurate court records.
Stays abreast of current Arkansas Legislative audit requirements relating to business continuity plans in the event of a natural disaster.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews user requests for services; determines capability and compatibility with current hardware and software applications.
Maintains software packages including the Arkansas Supreme Court software, CONTEXTE.
Train all new staff in software management; using the CONTEXTE system and other software installed.
Acts as project manager for assigned software including mobile data capabilities, records management, website design and maintenance, and software installation and conversion.
Completes special projects as assigned.
Performs other related duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in a smoking-restricted office environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Considerable knowledge of the concepts, operating systems, software, and hardware of desktop computers.
Considerable knowledge of the capabilities and technical requirements of computer hardware and peripheral equipment.
Considerable knowledge of the installation and operation requirements of windows-based software.
Good knowledge of webpage design and related software.
Ability to identify and correct malfunctions within desktop computer systems and related peripheral hardware.
Ability to install and test computers and peripheral equipment.
Ability to maintain all aspects of a desktop system.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.
Skill in the operation and maintenance of computers and peripheral equipment including printers, terminals, modems, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to orally communicate effectively.
Ability to hear and speak sufficiently to communicate information in person and by telephone.
Digital dexterity is necessary for the operation of the computer keyboard and equipment installation.
Ability to climb, bend, stoop, crouch, or kneel as required for hardware installation.
Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Completion of high school or GED equivalent with advanced college level or vocational school training in electronics, computer hardware technology, or related field; considerable experience with the design, maintenance, and installation of computers and peripheral hardware or related systems; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Requirements
Must possess or be able to immediately obtain a valid Arkansas Driver's License.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
