RIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assistance with the implementation, training and development of processes and procedures for the new small business LAR mandated by Section 1071 of Dodd Frank.
  • Completion of the small business LAR mandated by Section 1071 of Dodd Frank once finalized.
  • Completion of compliance monitoring as assigned throughout the year in both lending and deposit regulatory areas with a key focus on monthly flood insurance monitoring.
  • Assistance with COSO responsibilities as needed including testing & validation of internal controls across HFG.
  • Member of Compliance Committee and CRA Committee.
  • Assistance with the coordination of materials for audits and examinations.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Solid working knowledge of State and Federal banking laws and regulations with a heightened emphasis on flood insurance regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with data analytics and database management a plus.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with others and independently as the situation dictates
  • Strong ability to write clearly and concisely, especially policies, procedures, and reports
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills - ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Three or more years of compliance, audit or legal experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Certifications in compliance, audit or legal field a plus
  • Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills
