Communications/PR Specialist:

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, results-focused individual to enhance branding, increase company awareness, and act as company spokesperson for New England North; inclusive of Pike Industries, and Redimix Companies, both CRH Companies. This person will be responsible for assisting in our Strategic Recruitment Programs, Improving our Engagement with Employees and Enhancing our Outreach Initiatives within our local communities. Classification: Weekly salary exempt.

Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Monitor social media for engagement, customer service and recruiting opportunities, as well as engage in social media conversations on behalf of the organization.
• Will oversee the company newsletter and website and will work in conjunction with the CRH Communications team.
• Design and develop presentations and other communications tools for use by senior management.
• Capture studio-quality photographs and videos. Edit content and build a library of videos focused on safety, recruiting, branding and marketing.
• Write/design announcements, articles, flyers, and advertisements.
• Participate and speak at local and regional events, such as job fairs, charities, and community outreach programs to increase awareness of the organization.
• Will seek and manage new and improved ways to promote the company.

Requirements

• Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
• Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in communications, graphic design, public relations, or video field and a minimum of five years' experience in a related field.
• Social Media management experience.
• Recruiting experience preferred.
• Experience with Canon DSLR Cameras.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro (and/or Final Cut Pro).
• Experience in public speaking and preparing related materials.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships with employees and customers.
• Possess solid organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
• Extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights.
• The willingness to travel to other CRH locations as needed.
• A valid driver’s license.
