COLLEGE ESSAY AND APPLICATION COACH (PART-TIME) Job at College MatchPoint
$30 - $70 an hour
College MatchPoint is a growing educational consulting company based in Austin, Texas. We are hiring a College Essay and Application Coach to work in our Austin office, as well as virtual coaches.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach students through outlining, drafting, editing college essays
- Coach students through the college resume process
- Assist students with college application questions
- Strong ability to work on tight deadlines
- Respond quickly to students
- Ability to connect with students in a confident, calming manner
- Track student progress
- Evening and weekend work hours are required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have experience teaching writing with high school or college students
- Work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to approach problems both logically and creatively
- Ability to perform multiple assignments without immediate supervision
- Must have availability outside traditional business hours
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree is a plus
- Familiarity with Google Docs
- College admissions experience is a plus
Compensation: Part-time - $30-$70 hourly rate depending on experience.
Hours: 15- 20 hours- some evenings and weekends
