Responsibilities

• Act as mediator in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
• Oversee and update customer files to ensure data consistency
• Lead all billing and reporting activities according to deadlines
• Control inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
• Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
• Accurately process bankruptcy filings when received
• Document all customer payments to the right reports
• Abide by all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act
• Guarantee payments are processed
• Effectively analyze customer accounts make decisions based on said analyses
• 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
• Command of customer service
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Access
• Audit Requests experience
• General familiarity with Cash Collections
• Bulk Mailings experience
• Well-founded grasp of commercial collections
• Proven knowledge of Track Progress
• Practical knowledge of Outstanding Balance
• Microsoft Excel experience
• AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
• Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired
