Threat Tec, LLC, a Veteran-Owned Small Business, has an immediate opening for a COE Staff Standardization Task Force Action Officer to support our client at TRADOC on Fort Eustis, Virginia.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • The COE Staff Standardization Task Force will relook the COE construct and seek to identify a more standardized and efficient COE structure.
  • The Task Force will recommend resource redistributions necessary to best implement proposed organizational changes across the command considering existing resource constraints.
  • The Task Force will be assisted as necessary by the TRADOC staff but will operate as an independent entity, providing an external perspective and reporting findings and recommendations directly to TRADOC leadership.
  • Assisting the Task Force Team with developing and processing staff actions
  • Support the development, scheduling and tracking of Task Force actions.
  • Coordinate requirements with organizations inside and outside TRADOC/Army
  • Provide analysis, assessments, and recommendations to the Task Force for planning and operational missions.
  • Task Force members will need to have a general understanding of Army force structure and basic Army resource processes such as the Program Objective Memorandum and Total Army Analysis
  • Task Force members will need to utilize Army manpower documents (Tables of Distribution and Allowances, TRADOC Manpower Guidance) and systems (FMSWeb) to identify TRADOC structure and assess organizational differences/capabilities.
  • Knowledge of TRADOC missions and organizations is a plus. Analysis will cover both CoE overhead elements and select TRADOC schoolhouse/training functions.
  • Task Force members must exhibit innovative thinking, possess problem solving skills, and be able to meet directed timelines.
  • Written and oral presentation skills are required to present new concepts and proposed organizations to project and TRADOC leaders. In addition, responses to inquiries from Department of Army and Congressional levels may also be required.
  • Additional desired skills, experience as a TRADOC instructor or worked operations within a CoE
  • Develop Plans of Action and Milestones for each project upon initial assignment of work
  • Apply knowledge to accessions activities for Active Army, Reserve and National Guard forces for TRADOC.
  • Coordinate with HQDA and other ACOMs as necessary to capture requirements within TRADOC.
  • Write planning and operations orders.
  • Review and analyze directives, plans, policies, and procedures of TRADOC and higher headquarters which pertain to the development and writing of applicable materiel in support of Army Accessions

Required qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree is preferred, but not required.
  • TRADOC Staff or COE experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Three years’ experience as part of TRADOC or Army Staff, or in an active component division staff or higher organization, developing plans, orders, succinct information papers, and briefings.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and author Army/DoD regulations, OPLANS, contingency operations plans and policy pertaining to the COE Staff Standardization Task Force activities.
  • Must be comfortable briefing senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Advanced skills with Office Microsoft Suite of Tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Eligible for Secret Clearance
  • US citizenship required.
