CNA or NAR--Long Term Care Job at Mille Lacs Health System
The Nursing Assistant/Registered is responsible for assisting the professional nurse in the delivery of resident care. Under the direction of the professional nursing staff the NA/R provides the personal care for assigned residents and is an integral part of the .2 F care planning, assessment and record keeping systems.
.9 FTE Rotating Shifts, Rotating Weekends and Holidays
High school diploma preferred. Registration with the MN Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant. Must demonstrate complete criminal background check as required by the State of MN and drug screening per MLHS policy. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to the resident population serviced in the Long Term Care facility. This population is predominantly geriatric, although occasionally the resident population includes some young adult and/or middle-aged residents. Staff members must also demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth, development and aging from adolescence through the end of life, including death and dying. In addition, each staff member must be able to assess and interpret data relating to the resident's status in order to identify the resident's age specific needs.
