Position Overview:
The System Operator/Administrator is a vital member of the IT Infrastructure organization, working very closely with Cloud Engineers, stakeholders, business sales and InfoSec teams. The System Operator/Administrator will be responsible for managing the operation, support, configuration and maintenance of our Cloud and On-Prem server infrastructure. This role, is a core role of the IT Infrastructure Team, and is accountable for systems and processes critical to the successful operation of Enterprise IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain server security and integrity.
- Adhere to and promote cybersecurity best practices within the team and in compliance with company policies.
- Manage all Windows/Linux servers including hardware/software upgrades and patching of OS and applications.
- Work with the Engineering team to assist in designing, building, testing and implementing server solutions in both physical and virtual environments.
- Create and maintain documentation of environment and hardware/software/application configurations.
- Maintain process documentation, workflow, and architectural diagrams.
- Support system and development engineers on their implementations.
- Analyze and classifies complex change request and identifies and documents possible systems enhancements.
- Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, our developed products and infrastructure.
- Analyze and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements.
- Self-starter/self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision; flexible do-whatever-it-takes solution-oriented approach.
- Perform post incident reviews of all major incidents and determining actions items required to avoid similar issues/minimize downtime for future incidents.
- Provides Level 1 and 2 production support.
- Escalate and assist in level 3 support
- Strong track record of service delivery using ITIL processes.
- Determined to deliver outcomes and able to overcome obstacles in order to resolve service management incidents. Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Provides on-call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies.
- Understand the product and analytics and drive requirements that consider stakeholders needs.
- Analyses and evaluates detail business and technical requirements.
- Monitor on-prem/cloud infrastructure to identify areas of improvement, reliability, cost savings, etc…
- Disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Contribute to the development of cloud standards, best practices and organizational capability
- Research and drive adoption of on-prem/cloud-native technologies.
- Comply with GDPR & other Privacy Laws. Avoid/Prevent the export or access of data from Countries that protect such data from being accessed or transferred out of the country/state of jurisdiction of the data.

- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Transporting, lifting, and carrying equipment to various locations inside the HQ offices.
Qualification Requirements:
- BS/BA Degree in computer Science, Business, or related field; or commensurate combination of education IT Certifications and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Server Technologies and tooling.
- Strong understanding of On-Prem/Cloud Technologies with focus on AWS.
- ITIL Foundation Certification is required or earned within 6 months of hire date.
- 3+ years of experience – architecting, designing, developing, and deploying cloud solutions in AWS.
- Experience working with Windows servers 2019/2022
- Experience working with Linux/CentOS/RedHat/Amazon Linux 2
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to set own goals and manage towards them.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with other team members.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Willingness to work on a rotation schedule to provide SLA-time-base coverage to our customers.
- Able to participate on a weekend on-call rotation to support business activities.
- Proficient in the English language. Bilingual is a plus but not required
- Ability to travel, domestically and internationally (valid Passport required)
- Successfully, complete all required internal and external training as assigned.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
