TheraTree is a pediatric therapy practice in Western Kentucky who is committed to growing minds, bodies, and spirits through Occupational Therapy , Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Mental Health Therapy. We're out to create thriving children who's voices are heard, bodies that move, they are independently experiencing a life they love, and are in turn an inspiration for what is possible in life.

TheraTree's Partnership with Spalding University:

We are so excited to be helping families and children in partnership with Spalding University through leading outpatient pediatric therapy services right here in Louisville, KY! Summer of 2022, Spalding University introduced the possibility of a partnership with TheraTree to cultivate their outpatient pediatric CORF. We gladly accepted and are proud to help this clinic flourish within the beautiful community they've established. Spalding University will continue their assistive technology work through EnTech, now located on the third floor.

TheraTree will be helping children through pediatric outpatient therapy at the same location as Spalding's CORF was previously located in downtown Louisville:

Clinical Manager Purpose: To be responsible for each therapy department providing a complete therapeutic process (evaluation, treatment, progress, discharge) where patients have grown mind, body, and spirit and in turn are an inspiration to the community for what is possible in life.

Responsibilities: Empowers clinicians through management. Assists with Therapy Assistant supervision as needed. Maintain a prorated caseload relative to the quantity of staff directly supervising. Performing skilled therapeutic services are performed within each clinician's scope of practice. Including: screening, evaluation, performing / interpreting standardized assessments, establishing / updating plans of care, treatment, home education programs, reassessment of progress, re-evaluation, discharge and consultation with clients and other professionals.vContributes to other divisions in the company including: Human Resources, Client Services, Finance, Quality, Community, Executive. Contributes to the company's annual strategic plan. Attends meetings and presents on managed products, sub-products, statistics, and sub-statistics. Sets weekly, monthly, and annual targets to ensure annual goals are met.

Qualifications: Exceptionally skilled and respected therapy clinician who can supervise others. Personally aligned with accomplishing organizational goals through a team as your greatest purpose (required). Engaging and accurate verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills with adults and children alike.

There is a sweet client that has been working on feeding at our clinic. Today we completed a telehealth session during breakfast time. He had picked out all his food for his plate and was ready when he joined. He picked out peaches, blueberries, banana, pancakes, and eggs. He took at least 4 bites of everything! Mom even shared that he ate a whole hamburger yesterday. This is so big and we are excited that he is taking steps toward being able to eat food with his family and friends. - Kaitlin, MS, OTR/L

Faith is able to combine her expertise with mine so that we can help the child in all areas. Anytime I have a patient who becomes extremely overstimulated, she comes to the rescue! Faith is so patient and gives many tips and tricks to help the children get through what they are having difficulties with. My son started at TheraTree almost 2 years ago. At the time he was missing milestones and I could tell he had some sensory issues. TheraTree has helped Andy in so many ways. He has overcome challenges in his everyday life and has overcome some sensory issues. Cole has helped him at first to brush his teeth correctly and overcome sensory issues such as hair cutting, using a toothbrush and food textures. Cole has also been helping my son with being able to stay on task and stay focused when he is overstimulated. Cole has taught Andy to take turns and to be able to share with others. Since Andy has been going to TheraTree he is more focused, and is right on track. Andy has developed new motor skills and social skills. Andy has become a brighter kid. Danielle is an amazing therapist. She is great with all children, and really shines when helping our littles here at the clinic. Some of the joys of my week involve her and her little ones walking around the clinic to come say hello to me while they are working on mobility. Shes wonderful with all the little babies that come through our doors, working on anything from hitting gross and fine motor developmental milestones to oral motor and sensory feeding challenges. My UNIQUE ROLE: I have a radical idea about my role in healthcare. The children in our community cannot be fixed. Because to be fixed, you must be broken. our kids and our families are not broken. They may be facing challenges; challenges that are real valid and affecting their life. I see that. It IS my role to give children and families access to living happy, healthy, and well balanced lived. This access is created through developing the skills and giving the tools for living life. It's an access for their VOICE to be heard, their BODY to move, and to become INDEPENDENT. The children and families who walk through my doors are not broken, they are perfectly imperfect humans and I believe this to our core.
