Summary
Compiles, enters and maintains the data and process associated with completing payrolls for hourly and salaried employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily entry of hours to be paid, additional pay, deductions, taxes and personal data from various source
- documents into SAP
- Balancing, verification and editing of data from source documents to data entered.
- Perform payroll gross to net calculation routines both manually and in SAP.
- Print, sort, fold and mail live checks and direct deposit stubs.
- Assist employees with payroll related questions.
- Provide support and backup to payroll processing, garnishments, union benefits and tax teams.
- Utilize payroll and tax research guides and tools to investigate laws and requirements.
- Process ad hoc reports using payroll related query tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Hybrid Work Arrangement - 1 day in office required
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some accounting experience or coursework preferred
- General SAP Payroll processing knowledge
- Minimum 2 years payroll processing experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and Excel abilities
- 10 key by touch
- Some analytical skills
- Good organization, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of data and information
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- CPP preferred but not required.
