As a CUSTODIAL Cleaning Specialist, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing a variety of buildings on a designated federal site, including but not limited to restrooms, bathrooms, and offices using established procedures and practices.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and report any malfunctions or safety hazards to the Supervisor.
- Provides other cleaning services, such as, dusting, routine restroom, office, and classroom cleaning.
- Committed to maintaining a safe working environment by always following safety procedures and requirements.
- Accomplishes organization mission by completing related assignments as needed.

The good news is that we have an amazing training program that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Cleaning Specialist. But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be able to meet all required security clearances.
- Applicants must be qualified for the job (have the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the required duties) and demonstrate proof of disability (Proof of disability can be satisfied with a simple letter stating that you have a disability from your doctor, a licensed medical professional, a licensed rehabilitation professional, or any entity that issues or provides disability benefits. The letter does not need to detail your medical history, or your need for an accommodation).

- Ability to perform constant physical labor and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs, with or without accommodations.
- Must be able to work nights
