1. Provides excellent customer service to patients, visitors, families and co-workers and supports the hospital mission and vision.2. Cleans all environmental surfaces including, but not limited to, furniture, bathroom fixtures, windowsills, door frames, doors, walls, and floors. Dust mops and wet mops patient rooms, hallways, bathrooms, stairs, and offices.
3. Maintains and fills supply dispensers.
4. Gathers and disposes trash and waste material. Removes waste and soiled linens from work area and places items in specified bags or containers.
5. Cleans and prepares dismissal and transfer units for new occupant. Follows isolation procedures in isolation rooms.
6. Follows oral and written instructions, works alone, and understands the physical arrangements of the hospital. Performs tasks with due consideration for patients, hospital staff and visitors. Uses initiative for some cleaning tasks and set priorities for how to proceed according to departmental policies and procedures.
7. Follows universal precautions.
8. Effectively follows all hospital policies and procedures.
9. Meets expectations in regards to regular attendance and punctuality when scheduled to work.
10. Performs all other duties as assigned.
