Classroom Note Taker Job at Pima Community College
This position will provide note-taking accommodation for lectures, media presentations, board work, lab notes, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Duties will include taking down legible class notes that cover the important aspects of the material presented. Notes should be clear and concise and presented in a logical format
- Ensure notes are clear and comprehensive. This requires fast and accurate typing, legible handwriting, accurate spelling, and the ability to extract all relevant information from the lecture material. Must provide notes to the department database after each class session
- Incumbents may work in a variety of classes. Classes may range from beginning developmental classes to higher-level science and math
- Work in a professional manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) and
- Assignments may require some knowledge or experience in the area of study
- Experience in attending class and taking notes
- Strong language skills (accurate spelling, grammar, etc.)
- Good organizational skills, punctual, dependable, and reliable
- Legible handwriting and good typing skills
