Experienced NonStandard Auto Insurance Claim Manager

This position is located in Mt Prospect – A northwest suburb of Chicago.

• This position reports to Senior management
• Lead and oversee the Pre-litigation unit
• Manage and adjust auto claims in the Pre-litigation or early litigation stages - primarily, third-party automobile subrogation and first party claims
• Identify & resolve coverage issues
• Identify high priority cases and keep them on a close diary.
• Maintain personal stewardship of files
• Negotiate claims and reach claim resolutions as promptly as possible
• Draft coverage position letters or correspondence as needed
• Provide stakeholders with a level of service that meets or exceeds their expectations
• Control claim costs and expenses to the extent possible
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency
• Assist in responding to attorney, regulatory, producer and consumer inquiries

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of automobile insurance claims work experience
• Non-Standard automobile insurance experience a plus
• Supervisory experience a plus
• Understand court process concepts
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Street Smarts
• Observant and ability to pick up details that are overlooked
• Strong liability analysis skills
• College degree a plus
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge of state-mandated claim practices
• Knowledge of reserving philosophies
• Proficiency with technology, primarily Microsoft Office

The Position:

• Regular Full Time (40hrs per week) 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
