Summary:
Goldbelt Apex, LLC is seeking a Business Development Lead to lead the business development and capture activities within our Civilian Health portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and capturing opportunities within Civil Health programs, including but not limited to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), National Institutes of Health and Center for Medicaid Services. In addition, you will continue to build Goldbelt reputation and business pipeline, executing the BD process, maintaining a high win probability, and growing business within the Civil Health domain.
Must be able to use their existing government Health IT network to identify, lead new opportunities and develop new contacts in this growing vertical.
Essential Job Functions:
- Pitch Goldbelt capabilities and contract vehicles to clients and maintain a useful working relationship with contacts old and new
- Participate in the development and delivery of marketing materials and plans to increase revenue and profits.
- Develop and execute call/contact plans to stay in contact with customers, partners, and vendors and work with government and industry colleagues to shape opportunities to Goldbelt advantage
- Provide business development, capture, and proposal generation support for the various subsidiaries within Goldbelt, Inc. family
- Develop market intelligence for opportunities through interactions with Federal Government program owners, procurement officers and industry representatives
- Support RFI and proposal response activities to include RFP analysis, written content, participation in color reviews, document edits and developing submission-ready final products
- Develop and execute a call plan to introduce Senior staff within the various subsidiaries to potential customers that fit the subsidiary service offerings
- Provide a weekly activity report on the opportunity pipeline
- Implement the recommendations of the strategic marketing plan
- Interface with internal functional teams and external customers for business development management
- Perform market research and analysis
- Prepare routine and non-routine program correspondence, documentation and reports.
- Create and maintain master files/schedules related to program history, execution and status for the life of the program (inception to disposal)
- Furnish marketing advice, counsel, and general staff support to all departments within the organization
- Monitor external and internal environment for the development of new market segments.
- Assist in developing an evaluation process to gain feedback from constituents.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Federal Business Development experience in the Health IT space, preferably with medical device, asset management and cloud integration
- Highly developed organizational, planning, and management writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills; especially in a virtual workplace
- 360-degree ability to work effectively with others.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create materials and presentations.
- Ability to interact effectively with management, military personnel, the public, and staff to provide marketing and recruitment services.
- Ability to perform detail-oriented work, with some evenings and weekends required.
- Some Home Office (Herndon, VA) and client travel.
- Will be the consummate team player, participating in the business development team's overall efforts and working hand in hand with the Proposals team to win work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ten (10) or more years in Business Development or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience leading and winning competitive bids ranging from $5M to $100M
- At least 2-5 years experience working within an 8(a) firm environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent.
- Experience using Microsoft Teams or similar collaborative tools preferred.
- Shipley Business Development Training preferred.
