Haley & Aldrich is growing, and we are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Assistant Project Manager to support a variety of challenging multi-disciplinary engineering assessment and civil engineering design projects. Projects include general site civil/geotechnical, water resources management, waste management, remediation, and contaminated site management. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business unit in a privately held company with over 60 years of preparing smart, integrated solutions for our clients. This position will be based in one of our 30+ office locations, or virtually.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams and nationwide company offices and client/project locations.
- Work with and support technical leads on all aspects of the project to address client goals and objectives.
- Understand client needs and be able to work collaboratively with the project team leadership to develop strong client relationships.
- Be capable of developing and managing technical aspects of projects.
- Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client deliverables.
- Lead project execution to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
- Support projects from scoping through final deliverables.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree a plus.
- 5+ years of professional services consulting experience in engineering design supporting land development and/or geo-environmental site-civil development, heavy industry, and waste management projects.
- Experience to include execution of feasibility studies, engineering evaluations and designs with a focus in stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, surface water/SWPPP and NPDES design and regulatory permitting from development planning to project completion.
- Knowledge in stormwater management treatment technologies a plus.
- Ability to present technical solutions of project work in a variety of written and oral formats.
- Demonstrated ability to manage work on time and within budget.
- Professional registration (PE) strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient at writing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
- Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software.
- Strong organization skills and exceptional attention to detail is expected.
- Must be willing to travel as needed to support clients, projects, and project team collaboration.
