City Engineer
The professional selected for the City Engineer position will direct all civil engineering functions of the City including the development, programming, design, and inspection of public improvement/construction projects such as sanitary and storm sewers, waterlines, and traffic control devices, building department functions and a variety of public and private engineering- related activities.
This position reviews and manages construction engineering plans to determine and ensure compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, codes, and ordinances; directs activities relating to the design, construction and maintenance of traffic control signals, signs, and markings; directs development activities involving the investigation and resolution of drainage, sewer, water, street, and traffic problems, and the design, construction and maintenance of streets, curbs, gutters, sewers, sidewalks, and bike paths; and supervises and coordinates contractual engineering consulting services, and monitors and supervises contractual public improvement/construction activities.
Qualifications for this position include registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Ohio, a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering, and 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in leading engineering projects and providing technical expertise.
The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 with full health insurance (including HSA contributions), paid time off, and retirement with Ohio Public Employees Retirement.
