PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD WITH DOCSIS AND WIFI EXPERIENCE- TELECOM DOMAIN

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
• Guide and its vendors in the implementation of standardized CPE device designs
• Guide partnerships in contract manufacturing and component ecosystem toward direct manufacturing of standardized CPE device designs
• Guide in the balance of ownership team and its vendors for design, component selection and logistics
• Evaluates and introduces new products / components
• Assists in the development and documentation of technical standards
• Develops and implements approved methods of procedure
• Designs and establishes protocol compatibility standards, develops and implements network
• enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement
• Works on projects/ systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration and optimization
• Provides escalated tier support across organizations and to third party vendors
• Works on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project team lead
• Coaches less experienced staff
• Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable
• Know, understand and follow company policy
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills / Abilities and Knowledge

• Must possess excellent industry knowledge and theoretical understanding of Printed Circuit Board design, implementation and manufacturing
• Experience writing and developing detailed requirements for Consumer Premise Equipment devices and systems
• Comfort and interest to consult in this role that is not necessarily PCB design
• Experience in RF design, WiFi, HFC Design, DOCSIS specifications 3.0/3.1 a plus
• Experience with handset manufacturers, network equipment vendors, and/or chipset vendors a plus.
• Experience with network test equipment, such as Ixia, Spirent, Fluke Networks, IBB, Spectrum Analyzers, Site Survey Planning tools, and Traffic Generators.
• Must possess expert skills and experience with desktop operating systems and applications (Windows, MAC, Unix/Linux).
• Strong work ethic with a desire to meet and exceed personal and business goals
• Expert level communication, documentation, teamwork skills
• Self-motivated to take ownership of assigned projects and deliverables
• Experienced technical writing skills sufficient to produce white papers, test cases, test plans, design documents, and technical diagrams
• Ability to work both in a team and independently on assigned projects

• Learns and adapts to new technologies and methodologies. Must be able to think outside-the-box and exercise innovation.
• Ability to work with little supervision to execute highly technical and complex tasks

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Professional level certification or equivalent work experience

Related Work Experience

• 10+ years of professional experience in device design and manufacturing
