Chicken Processor Job at HALSEY GROCERY
Halsey Foodservice is currently seeking to hire multiple new team associates to work on our poultry packaging line. This is not a slaughter or processing facility, this is a packaging line for packing finished poultry items. We are looking for team oriented individuals that can easily multi-task, have the ability to operate weight scales and maintain standards in compliance with State, Federal and Local regulations. The position involves standing stationary for long periods of time, doing rapid and repetitive work in a cold environment. This position offers competitive pay and a clean work environment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Poultry industry experience preferred, but not required.
- Cold and wet environment.
- Able to stand for an 8 hour shift.
- Able to bend, stoop, and kneel and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have keen focus on safety. Able to identify best-practices and implement actions to remediate issues.
- Must be respectful of others, and able to verbally communicate.
- Must be able to follow directions.
- Must be self motivated and able to work unsupervised.
- Dependable, punctual and work as scheduled.
- Reliable transportation.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
