Gem State Staffing is accepting applications for several open positions with a local Cheese Processing plant for full-time, temporary-to-permanent positions in Jerome.

Job Duties: Candidates will be performing general labor type tasks such as packaging, wrapping, boxing, palletizing etc. Individuals will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, along with general clean-up of the facility.

Jerome Positions & Pay Rates:

• Milk Receiving Operator – $18.45/hr.
• Mozzarella/Cheese Packaging – $15.66/hr.
• Dry /Whey Packaging Operator – $17.01/hr.
• Cheese Grating Operator– $17.01/hr.
• Warehouse/Forklift Operator – $18.45/hr.

Requirements:

• Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb.
• Adhere to company attendance standards.
• Comply with company safety policies and regulations.
• Qualified applicant should have no felonies in the last 10 years.
• Available to work overtime, weekends & potentially holidays as needed.
• Previous food processing/production or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., unassisted.
• Must be able to be on your feet an entire 12-hour work shift.

Work schedule: Days or Night shift available. Training shift do vary when specified.

Cheese Mozzarella Packaging:

• Mozzarella Packager Weekday/Night Shift: Monday-Thursday, some Fridays 5:00pm-5:00am
• Cheese Packager Weekend/Night Shift: Thursday- Saturday, E/O Sunday 5:00pm- 5:00am
• Cheese Packager Weekday/Night Shift: Monday-Wednesday E/O Sunday 5:00pm-5:00am

Dry/Whey Packaging: (Note: positions will now come on day/time of shift hired for)

• Techno Packaging Weekend/Night Shift: Thursday–Saturday, E/O Sunday 5:00PM to 5:00AM
• Techno Packaging Weekday/Night Shift: Monday-Wednesday, E/O Sunday 5:00pm to 5:00am

Warehouse: (Warehouse experience preferred, forklift etc.)

• Forklift Robot Operator: Weekend/Day Shift: Thursday-Saturday, E/O Sunday 5:00am – 5:00pm

VISO/Cheese Grating:

• Weekday/Night Shift: Monday-Thursday, Some Fridays 5:00pm – 5:00am (Will be working most Fridays)

Milk Receiving Operator:

• Weekend/Day shift: Thursday-Saturday, E/O Sunday 5:00am-5:00pm
• Weekday/Night shift: Monday -Wednesday, E/O Sunday 5:00pm – 5:00am

Experience: None required for most positions, will be trained. Forklift experience required for Warehouse position
