Charge Reconciliation Representative/Specialist- Entry Level Coding and Data Analysis- Practice Operations- Remote Opportunity Job at Faculty Physicians Inc.
The Charge Reconciliation Representative is responsible for charge capture and reconciliation to GE of inpatient, outpatient, and office encounters. The representative serves as a liaison between the coding office and front end departments; and other duties as assigned. This position requires independent judgement and decision making ability. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced biller to gain exposure to coding and data analysis; the Charge Reconciliation Representative works closely with the supervisor as the sole reconciliation agent, driving consistent procedures and process improvement. Proficiency in Excel is required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Three or more years of experience in a medical billing office
- General understanding and application of basic accounting principles
- PC proficiency
- Knowledge of GE/IDX, EPIC, Optum or similar computerized billing and coding systems
- Knowledge of payers in specialty
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, certification preferred
- Understanding of: FSC's and paycodes used in GE/IDX system, contractual requirements for the job; importance of compliance with all government regulations regarding billing
