CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (COTA)
JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under supervision of Occupational Therapist, performs occupational therapy procedures to help acute or rehabilitative patients with mental or physical disabilities attain or regain physical or mental functioning in accordance with established polices and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved program for Occupational Therapy Assistants Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient as specialty assignment dictates.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in patient care as obtained through completion of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in state of TN. Current CPR certification required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability and willingness to apply knowledge and skills and maintain clinical competency as required in treating acute and rehabilitative patients.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent standing and walking; exposure to infectious agents; Heavy Work - Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (May be further defined as "with assistance" or "without assistance").
Location: Regional One Health · Acute Care Therapy
Schedule: PRN, Day Shift/includes weekend, 7:00am-3:30pm
