CDL Truck Driver- Doubles and Tankers Job at Bethlehem Construction
The CDL Driver works with the Precast Yard to deliver incoming aggregates and other raw materials. The CDL Driver also delivers concrete pieces to jobsites, and hauls waste to landfill. The CDL Driver’s work involves a combination of duties and responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
· Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle
· Drive trucks with Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 18,000 to 21,000 lbs.
· Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit
· Transports goods from place of origin to assigned destination
· Pick up loads and delivers to Precast Yard or Jobsites
· Ensures the loads are properly secured
· Stay on predetermined route and ensure time deliveries
· Perform inspection of vehicle prior to and following each trip
· Works with mechanics to diagnose issues
· Check weather conditions and road reports before departure
· Keeps tractor clean inside and out
· Works safely and follows all safety rules and policies in the Bethlehem Employee Handbook.
· Uses extreme caution when working around cranes, trucks, forklifts, loaders and other
Licensure Requirements:
· Must have a valid Class A CDL License with doubles and tanker endorsements and current DOT Medical Certification
· Must have a clean driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
