Social Impact Services is looking for mission-driven applicants who aspire to impact people’s lives. Social Impact Services works with developmentally disabled adults within San Diego County and are clients of the San Diego Regional Center. We provide entry-level positions for applicants who are interested in obtaining professional case management training and aspire to become social workers.

Requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older. A High School diploma is required. No previous experience is needed. Training is given upon hire. Applicants must be enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn and work in a fast-paced, case management position. Must have reliable transportation.

Staff will assist clients by providing functional skills through 1:1 training in the client's home, community, and/or natural settings. This career opportunity requires consistent communication, good writing skills, and completing paperwork according to deadlines. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; however, all applicants will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload
  • Maintain adequate control of hours allotted per each client assigned to ensure no overage
  • Create an Individual Support Plan (ISP) for each client and propose life goals/objectives relative to their life needs and aspirations in life
  • Develop a systematic approach in direct services that tailors to each client’s needs, that personally works best for them i.e., binders, visual boards, routine visits to a particular site
  • Meet with clients weekly to work on the client's assigned objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress on a daily and quarterly basis in written form and in scheduled meetings with the clients’ support systems and funding sources
  • Identifying resources within the community, which are appropriate to the client's needs
  • Respond to emails, return phone calls, and maintain voicemail according to agency guidelines (agency-sponsored cell phone provided).
  • Attend staff meetings, and/or assigned agency workshops as requested by management
  • Submit working hours, time off requests, client’s signature/attendance page, medical notes, expense receipts, and any other documentation accurately and timely according to agency guidelines
  • Adhere to agency guidelines referenced in the Company Handbook; The agency’s intention is to maintain a healthy and inclusive work environment that is mission-driven/purposeful

Compensation: $17.50 x hour, standard gas stipend, paid vacation, and sick days. Flexible schedules: full-time, part-time, internships.
