The Cardiac Medical Assistant provides primary support to the provider by proactively anticipating the providers needs, preparing the patient for the visit using established patient preparation guidelines, maintaining efficient patient flow, and assisting the provider with treatments and procedures. Performs scribe functions to assigned provider(s).
Uses advanced training to perform procedures with completed and documented competency, within scope of certification and PHS policy and under the direct supervision of the provider. These procedures include performing treadmill exercise tolerance tests, stress echocardiograms, 6-minute walk tests, and nuclear stress tests. Provides coverage to the EKG Department
This is a fulltime position.
The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday.
