Timberland Bank is seeking a Part-time Call Center Customer Service Representative to assist customers with questions or issues regarding their accounts received via phone and/or correspondence. Must have good communication and problem-solving skills May research issues or transfer to a research function and may involve cross-selling or up-selling of other financial products.

Rate of Pay: $19.00 - $20.00

Essential Job Functions:

  • Deliver extraordinary customer service by assisting customers with questions, concerns, or requests via the phone.
  • Research and resolve customer issues.
  • Perform transactions, data changes, and account maintenance within Timberland Bank policy and procedure guidelines.
  • Consistent adherence to company, federal, and state regulatory compliance laws and practices.
  • Interact with branch personnel.
  • Cross-sell Timberland Bank products and services.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven commitment to extraordinary customer service delivery.
  • Minimum 1 year banking experience.
  • Working knowledge of Kirchman systems.
  • Excellent phone tone, demeanor, and professionalism.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Fundamental understanding of Timberland Bank operational procedures and guidelines.
  • Flexibility to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Cross-selling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate on a telephone.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to speak, read, and hear.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.

Physical Demands:

  • Work may involve the constant use of computer screens, reading of reports, and sitting throughout the day.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner and facsimile which often requires dexterity of hands and fingers with repetitive wrist and hand motion.
  • Typically sitting at a desk or table; intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to file materials.
  • Occasional lifting 10-20 lbs. (e.g., files, boxes, handouts).
