Cable Installation Technician I Job at IntelliBridge LLC
IntelliBridge is looking for a Junior Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic, coaxial, and copper networks for customers. Understanding of inside/outside network infrastructure; various mediums including fiber optic and copper cabling.
Clearance:
- Secret Level (interim acceptable)
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform installations, repairs, tests and maintenance for customers at China Lake/Ridgecrest, CA. Occasional travel to Pt. Mugu required.
- Install copper, fiber optic, and coaxial cable.
- Install and maintain switches, patch panels, conduit.
- Fiber termination (splicing, unicams, hot-melts).
- Use fiber and copper test equipment (power meters, OTDR, VFL.).
- Use of cable locating equipment.
- Some heavy lifting; up to 50 lbs.
- Some travel may be required.
Desired Qualifications:
- BICSI/Light Brigade certification preferred.
- Good network performance modeling or benchmarking skills.
- Skilled in time, priority and task management.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and support personnel.
- Minimum 1 year experience desired.
Additional Information:
- The typical schedule is flex (44/36). Hours 6am-4pm
- Work location is China Lake/Ridgecrest, CA.
