BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
DeWitt Guam is a leading logistics, warehouse, and transportation provider, shipping freight and household goods between the continental United States, Hawaii, Guam, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. We are offering a challenging and rewarding sales and business development opportunity for someone that is independently driven, growth focused, and service oriented. This individual will target sales and business development by conducting competitive market analysis, develop capture strategies and preparing winning proposals. The individual must also keep informed of developments in the local, state and national markets as they apply to the company’s core competencies and strategic business growth plan; maintain key marketing sales contacts with both civilian, military, and business personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Accountable to meet or exceed assigned sales objectives and revenue goals and developing and moving opportunities through the sales stages.
- Identify new opportunities and apply our services and products by selling our services to prospective and current clients and focus on presenting a value proposition, confirming commitment, and closing the business.
- Develop a comprehensive sales strategy (sales action plan) and value proposition for key prospects to identify and address specific needs and update of activities and information in CRM software. Maintain current updates, regarding leads, opportunities, and activities as well as scheduled activities.
- In conjunction with Director of Strategy and Business Planning, Sales Manager and President, will set monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals, target markets and target accounts, revenue goals and self-development goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven sales & business development experience, understanding of transportation and freight forwarding, local and federal acquisitions policies, principals, and practices is a plus!
- Proficient computer skills, a Microsoft Office Suite/365 intermediate skill level, CRM
- Strong written and verbal communication, time management and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks running simultaneously, strong bias for action.
- Excellent Behaviors: remain engaged, proactive, and positive even in tough circumstances; own assignments and be fully accountable for their success; align actions, behaviors, and conversations to what matters most.
