Building and Grounds Assistant Job at Joliet Public Library
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities
Set up, arrange and emove tables, chairs, ladders, etc. to prepare facilities for events. Participate in van courier delivery between Library buildings.
Responsible for transporting “Friends” materials from one Library building to the other.
Run errands for Library staff as directed.
Report Library vehicle(s) problems or concerns.
Deliver materials to other locations as designated.
Assist in the maintenance of library landscaping.
Empty the material return drop boxes.
Move containers of library materials to the dock for the courier service.
Assist with loading and unloading of materials at the dock.
Remove snow and de-ice sidewalks as needed.
Move furniture and equipment as needed.
Assist with room set ups for programming needs.
Execute opening and closing procedures successfully.
Perform emergency cleaning tasks (leaks, spills, vomit, etc.)
Respond to off-duty emergencies as needed.
Participate in rotating on call schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
