Tired Hands Brewing Company is looking for a qualified person to join our Production Team. The Tired Hands Production Team manages and executes the production of our strange and beautiful beers. This position is full-time, in a non-supervisory role, that will assist production by moving materials to offsite locations. We are seeking an applicant with initiative, who is prompt, professional, trainable, courteous and works well with little supervision, and as a part of a team. Members of the Production Team should have a positive and professional attitude, keep an immaculately clean work space and be attentive to equipment maintenance needs and safety at all times. Logistics team members should expect between 35-55 hours of work a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Following proper SOPs in all aspects of the job

• Maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of work

• Safely operating a large (non-CDL) vehicle on a variable schedule for the following tasks

  • Moving and dumping spent brewing grains to an offsite composting facility

  • Transporting liquid (wort or finished beer) to our offsite production facility

• Assisting brewers in emptying the mash tun of spent grains using a cavity pump

• Coordinating with brewery staff to efficiently work around their production schedule

• Maintaining cleanliness and functionality of the truck

• Assisting in cleaning and organizational projects in the production spaces

• Occasionally assisting warehouse/logistics staff with additional tasks

• Adhering to all safety protocols at all times

  
  

Abilities and Skills:

• Ability to drive and park a variety of vehicles, mainly a large dump truck

• Ability to safely lift, lower, push, pull and move upwards of 340lbs repeatedly with the assistance of a 2-wheeled hand-truck, and 161lbs without

• Ability to take and precisely follow instructions from supervisor

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Professional, courteous demeanor and attire

• Ability to be punctual and reliable

• Exceptional comprehension and communication skills, including ability to use email, Google Sheets, Docs and other software as needed

• Ability and willingness to treat others with dignity and respect, in an environment free of harassment and discrimination

• Solution-oriented attitude (the ability to calmly and promptly assess, report, and troubleshoot problems that arise)

• Flexibility with schedule and assignments, and adaptability to meeting new needs as they arise

• Familiarity with our brewery; knowledge of and a passion for craft beer

• Ability to kneel, stoop, and work in tight spaces

• Ability to retain confidential company knowledge

• Ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment

• Ability to work with honesty and integrity

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Truck driving experience

• Steel-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Ability to lift 160 lbs; and move ~350lbs using tools such as a hand truck or a forklift

• Ability to kneel and stoop occasionally

• Ability to stand and work for up to 12 hours at a time

• Forklift certification or ability to become certified

  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years of warehouse or delivery experience

• Experience in a supply chain or production environment

• Two or more years of truck driving experience

• Medical card
